Description

Through a wide-ranging selection of photographs, many of them previously unpublished, this book reveals a distinctive facet of Ramón Masats: his vision of childhood. A visual journey through his archive, it brings to light surprising images and offers a fresh perspective on the work of one of the great masters of Spanish photography.

Far more than a simple portrait of childhood, the book explores Masats’s ability to capture everyday life with spontaneity, irony and extraordinary sensitivity. Rescued from his archive, these images form a nuanced visual narrative that brings us closer to his way of seeing the world and allows us to discover the enduring relevance and richness of his photographic legacy.

This book has been made possible thanks to the support and participation of the Antonio Pérez Foundation, Provincial Council of Cuenca. The book will accompany an exhibition at the Foundation in 2027. It has also received the support of Alta Gallery.

The publisher would like to express its sincere thanks to Sonia Masats and the Masats Archive for their collaboration
